Michael is a natural and successful entrepreneur. His casual, easy-going style belies his hyper-drive energy. Michael started his very first advertising agency at the age of 23, and he’s been delivering visionary ideas, breakthrough creative and business savvy to clients, ever since.
Michael founded Chinnici Direct in 1982, and for over 27 years the agency delivered creative and strategic services to a marquis list of clients, including American Express, BMW, JPMorgan, UPS, Chase, AT&T, IKEA, Bermuda Tourism, MetLife, Capital One, Barnes & Noble.
A creatively trained businessman and professional photographer, Michael co-founded Icon Digital in 1996 as New York’s first digital photography studio. Icon‘s clients included Estee Lauder, HP, Tommy Hilfiger, Chase, Lacoste, Tiffany’s, J Crew, Vivre and Tupperware. You can see more of Michael’s photography at Michael Chinnici Photography and Photo Workshop Adventures, a travel and adventure based photo workshop company he founded in 2008.
Always itching to build something new and different, Michael sold Chinnici Direct in 2000, stayed on as the CEO until 2005, when he founded his first virtual agency, Scuderia O2. Since 2008 Michael has been setting the vision and culture for Red Octopus, building it’s infrastructure, and harnessing his pool of global talent.
When Michael isn’t busy building companies, he can be found at a Formula One race, on a photoshoot, scouting new photo workshop locations, or just chilling with family and friends.
